A few observations (in no particular order) from July 4, 2011, by Kory...
- The overall experience and setup was very similar to what was observed in 2008.
- Total entries were just under 300; I believe the number was 293.
- All contestants were Three-toed Box Turtles, except for 2 Ornate Box Turtles (one from near St. Louis, Missouri and the other from Boone County, Arkansas), a Northern Map Turtle, a Red-Eared Slider, and a Spiny Softshell.
