Description

Habitats

Found in open woodlands, mixed pine-hardwood forests and agricultural areas. Also may be seen in bottomlands, pine plantations and old fields.

Habits and Life History

Breeds in temporary wetlands, woodland pools and margins of swamps. May also use the edges of farm ponds and flooded fields.
