Description
A medium sized (6.4 cm) burrowing frog, with ⚠ dorsal color ranging from gray to brown. These frogs can also have dark gray and brown markings and small reddish spots on the ⚠ dorsum. ⚠ Ventral color is white. Skin is smooth, and ⚠ parotoid glands are not visible. There is a raised hump between the eyes.
Habitats
A rare find in Arkansas, this species is only known from a few locations in the Arkansas River Valley. It is thought to prefer open grassland with sandy soil.
